Planned Giving
Your Passion & Legacy. Their Hope & Opportunity.
The Foundation invests your gift and the Boys & Girls Clubs benefit from the interest on those funds in perpetuity. That’s how your gift keeps on giving forever. A planned gift, also known as a deferred or future gift, is typically a gift from assets and not income. You decide how your gift will be used.
The most common planned gift is a bequest through your will. You simply designate Boys and Girls Clubs of Manatee County as the beneficiary of certain assets in your will or estate plan.
And there are a variety of other types of planned gifts. Gifts of property or other assets can provide a fixed income to you, your surviving spouse, or your children for life, or a term of years, and you or your heirs may benefit from significant tax savings.
The Foundation for Boys & Girls Clubs understands you and your family have unique circumstances, and we encourage you to discuss your goals with your financial advisors. Gift planning is customized to meet your goals, desires, and special area of interest. We’d like to talk to you about it.

PLAN NOW FOR TAX-WISE GIVING
If you are eligible, please consider making a tax-smart gift to the Foundation for Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County with a Charitable Rollover from your Individual Retirement Account. In 2015, Congress enacted a permanent extension of the IRA charitable rollover. As a result, individuals age 70½ or older can make gifts directly from their IRA to 501(c)(3) charities without counting the transfers as income in 2016 and beyond. Gifts from an IRA cannot exceed $100,000 per person ($200,000 for a couple) in a given year.
To complete an IRA Charitable Rollover:
1. Contact your IRA plan administrator.
2. Request a distribution of up to $100,000 and direct it to the Foundation for Boys & Girls Clubs, Inc. (TIN 65-0125981). If written instructions are required, you can download this sample letter.
3. Inform the Foundation for Boys & Girls Clubs about how to use your contribution by emailing us or sending us a copy of your letter or instructions.
